This is an incredible collection of Vintage Mugshots from the 1920s. Many of these intriguing photographs are also accompanied by a description of the person and the crime(s) they have committed.
For example, Alice Adeline Cooke (first picture) was convicted of bigamy and theft. By the age of 24 she had amassed an impressive number of aliases and at least two husbands. She was described by police as ‘rather good looking’.
The images themselves are of excellent quality, beautifully composed and in many cases, quite artistic. Please enjoy this curated selection of 126 photographs along with brief descriptions of each when available.
